We work together in your garage or out in the sun! The colours match your room but to them, it’s just squishy-wet fun.

These make truly wondrous gifts! I entertain your child for 1-4 hours art directing them to create their masterpiece on canvas to actually match your decor! At your complimentary briefing we discuss what will suit your space and then on the session day, I give your child a sequence of perfect colours while they have a ball, using stimulating tools to play with the paint. I suggest marks to make and teach and mimic them, giving you the desired work of art. At sessions end, I professionally finished the painting off and clean the area. If you’ve ever said, “My kid could do that!” Now they can.

LITTLE GOLD HANDS - I know when I have been to the gallery I have seen works of art on display that have looked as if painted by a child. Certainly, my husband always used to go on about art that just looks like child’s play and meant nothing. Typical words: well, how strange it is, that I now art direct children to create gallery worthy art! There is however, a major difference.
These children’s masterpieces have pretty powerful emotions attached to them as you’ll always remember the art is by your child and therefore you’ll always treasure it and remember those happy days. Childhood passes quickly and kindergarten art isn’t light safe so Little Pro Masterpieces are proving to be art you could have bought from a gallery…but oh, so much more.

BLUE IS FOR GRANDPA - We all know grandparents especially, the entire world over, love their grandchildren’s art as gifts. So much art is generated in kindergarten and school, though there is little that will survive the years as archival quality wall art. Little Pro Masterpieces though, last - and this is why.
Your child’s painting will use paints from an expensive range of 75 colours called Atelier “Interactive” Acrylics. Unlike traditional acrylics, they don’t suddenly form a skin giving us plenty of time to play and more creative freedom; even touch-dry paint can be reworked or ragged-off to blend or reveal layers. Best of all they’re archival quality, lightfast and the intense colours dry to a satin-like finish (not plastic and pale).

TIGERS IN THE GRASS - If your child is 4 years or older he or she can be art directed to create a more figurative painting. These take some planning on my part but if you have a theme like the African safari one here, then this may be the style for you. If you have a motif from a curtain you’d like enlarged, or if I suggest we work from the rooms sculptural piece and bring it to life, then your child will learn a heap participating in the process. These are generally longer sessions then the toddlers but they can always sleep it off!

DAISIES FAIRY GARDEN - All private Works With Little Pro sessions are only available to Brisbane. You’ll enjoy a complimentary appointment where we’ll discuss the wall concerned, such as above a bed here. I will measure it, check if there is a cheaper shop ready canvas size to suit or contact my custom canvas maker for a quote and order it for you. I also sample colours and take photos of the room and the accessories to ensure colours match and to get me thinking about the paintings composition, if there is one! Then we book a session date and I go and plan it all. Easy!

JUNGLE JAMBOREE - At your complimentary appointment I may draft thumbnails sketches for you on the spot or email them to you later. These back and white sketches come with notes about colour or texture etc, and will give you choice of various compositions.
Plus, as an interior decorator I will give you some tips on how to make your room more stylish. For more comprehensive plans, you can hire me to provide a room plan to work from, which will give you colour samples and allow you to use existing furniture and accessories or what to buy, even from your favourite home wares catalogue!

DADDAS SURPRISE - As in this case, parents often worry about a canvas sizes I’ll suggest for their very young child to paint. Fear not! I have learnt ways to engage their interest; they can use their toy truck, drag ropes, use iridescence or throw paint at the canvas…whatever does the trick. Children as young as 18 months typically paint for 2 hours; they will wander off at times, but invariably don’t want to stop!
Some children concentrate very hard and don’t leave even for a minute totally exhausting themselves they love the experience so much, even children who’ve stopped afternoon sleeps, tend to need one after painting a masterpiece!

|
GOD DAUGHTERS GIFT - Interior Designers and decorators are most welcome to suggest to their clients, that their children create artworks to match their new decors. Why not? You still have control over the colours, the composition and the theme and as I have studied interior decoration, I will happily work with you as was in this case for Brisbane Interior Designer, Tracie Dunne.
Sessions are held at your client’s home so the child is relaxed and your client can enjoy the experience. It means they’ll love the artwork not just as art, but art with memories of their children’s childhood and they’ll thank you for it!

COUSINS CHRISTMES BASH - How about a surprise gift? A family can experience a Little Pro workshop as in this case, where 3 cousins worked to produce 2 Christmas gifts. As Little Pro isn’t an art class but a chance to paint beautiful art, we paint one piece at a time, though several canvases can be painted in the one session
If the surprise present is for an friend or grandparent, try to email me photos and measurements of the wall you think they’d like decorated and I’ll plan the painting that way. Then just arrange a play date with them for about 9.30am and I’ll be there! Hee Hee!

|
CONNERS ESCAPADE - Many children I work with have had little serious contact with painting and so I teach them on the job. Some children, like young Connor here, even start with how to hold a brush. You may think, my child could never do a real painting…but so did all the other parents!
If you have a budget, but a big wall to fill, try imagining a triptych. A triptych is a piece of art painted over 3 canvases. A design can be broken up sequentially and when hung, you will achieve harmony and tell still a story.

Your child need not be little to do a Little Pro! Many parents love to encourage their children when they show great interest in a skill and begin to demonstrate talent at it and such was the case with Emily and her session painting "Edelweiss".
Perfect as very nice, big, birthday presents, older children will receive more time getting hints and tips on how to paint, even learn how to paint challenging vignettes, not easy to do in a day! The point is, the art suits the space, the child remembers the experience for years to come and from follow up calls after most sessions, their passion seems to increase and they practise more.
