This Works With Little Pros session was Daisies birthday gift from her daddy. 5 year old Daisy had an absolute ball participating in the painting of Daisies Fairy Garden, designed to hang on the wall above her bed and overlooking the Brisbane river from her families modern Hamilton home.
It was a really freezing damp windy day, but Daisy braved it for 3 and a half hours learning how a painting is developed, how to hold a brush properly and to apply impasto gel. She wondered at the glitter and sparkle of the special iridescent medium which we mixed into her colours for a magical effect – especially at night. All Daisy wanted for her bedroom were fairies and flowers. Her parents just wanted her to have the experience of painting with a professional and to encourage Daisies love of art.
Daisy worked very diligently alongside Sharron and asked lots of questions while following her instructions. For Sharron it is a rewarding experience too for each child has their own little ways, some being more challenging to work with than others and they push her to work with each one on their own terms. Our Sharron though, just loves it!
