This piece called “Toy Room Collage” was created for 2 little girls aged 1 and 3 and was inspired by the circus tent, lion and curtain fabric already in the room. 2 more artworks are currently being crafted with paint and collage for the same space to extend the theme which is animal circus. I will show these artworks when finished.
If you look at the fabric design, you’ll notice I have taken the elephant, giraffe and monkey and bought them to life. In the new pieces the circus master will be featured in one and a big spotty cat to match a new faux fur cushion in another resulting in all 3 artworks matching the fabric and tent. I have suggested a new green table and chairs set and a zebra rug.
With large walls for hanging on, a shop bought canvas helped to keep the budget down. The collage materials cost $70 but they also keep painting time down, so the artwork turns out to be quite affordable. The children just love the circus and animal theme and they spend a huge amount of time in the space rather than in front of the TV or outside on hot days and they like to play with the collection of soft toy animals and sit chattering together in their circus tent.
