Terms & Conditions
All artworks commissioned with Works For Your House begin with a free appointment of a maximum 2 hours where applicable.
At your free appointment you will be given:
1. 1 free colour wheel and you will be taught how to use it
2. following a brief, thumbnail sketch/s of ideas for your space
3. free interior decorating advice for the room discussed
4. a canvas quote according to size and quality
5. a timeline if possible or your session booking date
NOTE: International clients will receive communications via email based on photos sent to WFYH.
6. A minimum deposit of $150 is requested COD. Deposits are variable depending on any extra time spent on your project, canvas and material costs. Work will not commence without receipt of your deposit.
7. Your job will be quoted where possible or for large works and workshops an hourly rate will apply (see WFYH rates below)
Upon receipt of your first draft:
1. You will receive a PDF draft by email which may correspond to research if required. This time is charged at your hourly rate -
2. You must give approval on the first draft for work to commence.
3. Any changes on your part are best decided at this point. Considerable changes may, incur extra fees.
4. Once approved your design is drafted/projected onto the surface intended.
5. Your job will be assigned a studio date and you will be invited to view the art on that day if Sharron Tancred is creating the work for you. If another artist in Portrait Works or fantasy Face Works is creating your artwork, then you will be emailed a image and approval sheet.
- $70 p/hr interior decorating
- $110 p/hr all residential and workshop artworks except Portrait Works.
- Set prices for portrait works as per the canvas size chosen in your commission form or by other means.
- $130 p/hr Public Works, Works for Business and Works for Designers and graphic design.
- $90 p/hr general time which includes - research, travel time, phone calls, emails, faxes, printouts and any project management required to do your job well.
- All canvases and special paints POA.
- Typical collage materials $70 (includes typical materials sourcing time)
The studio date or half way approval -
1. You can make changes where possible at your studio viewing or a photo of your art will be emailed to you for your approval to go ahead.
2. Changes made may incur additional fees where warranted
3. You will, where possible, be advised of a pick up or finishing date
4. If art has been an ongoing and sizeable project, you will be invoiced in intervals.
5. Any additional materials required will also be charged for
Upon your artworks completion
- You will be advised by phone or email that your project is finished and will be sent a photo of your art for approval.
- You will be invoiced with a charge included for freight where required
- Your art will not be freighted until final payment is received
- You will receive a receipt for your records
- You will also receive a form on how to hang your artwork
- You will be contacted to see if you are happy with your art
Post art service and rewards program
1. A testimonial will be requested
2. A commemorative gift will be sent to you
3. You will be advised when your art is on the WFYH web site so you can show your friends
4. You will be posted any editorial feature published for your memoirs
5. You will receive a letter of offer i.e. 10% discount on your second job.
6. Unless requested, you will be added to the WFYH newsletter service so you can read about your experience or learn of other products, see other artworks etc.
7. If you refer WFYH to any one resulting in a job, you will be sent a gift
You will be thanked where ever possible.
