Aaron Zamykal and Liz Irvine from Ellerfield Financial Planning (Upper Mt Gravatt, Gold Coast & Mt Isa) care about their office morale, how it feels to clients and in a meaningful office environment.
Their large boardroom had sound issues and so they chose to have sound proofed artworks created for the main wall. During discussion, Sharron sketched a geometric design to be created digitally (she is also a graphic designer) and then printed onto canvas by our suppliers, laminated for UV fastness and lifetime durability and then hung in 2 sets of 7 slim panels.
You can read our Ellerfield Improvement Vision presentation supplied to Liz and Aaron and learn about the colour psychologyaspects for the job.
Below is the process we created this artwork with:
- We co-ordinated 4 suppliers, ensuring the work came in on time and budget. The panels were designed to the sound proofing specifications and available print sizes.
- The design was drafted, textures created and scanned and digitally edited.
- Words from Ellerfield's pillar of values were subtly placed in their corporate font adding meaning, point of difference and clarity to the artwork.
- The designs went through a process ensuring the Aaron and Liz were both totally satisfied.
- Once printed, our canvas stretcher did his thing making sure all seems matched...no easy feat
- Another supplier hung them ready for Ellerfield Financials inaugural board room meeting.
- We also painted a Picasso style artwork "Ellerfield Embrace" in the same colours for their foyer.
And the final results, match the decor and are well and truly loved as guaranteed! Click here to read Liz Irvine's glowing testimonial.
Sharron's speech to Ellerfield's clients
Some months later, Liz and Aaron invited Sharron to speak about her work to their own clientelle. Sharron has done quite a number of these in 2009 and really enjoys public speaking as a challenge and an opportunity. She has already been invited to speak at Ellerfield Finacial's Gold Coast office in 2010.
Decor Tips
- If something looks off, it probably is. If your eye goes to something it is because that thing is standing out...like blue green doors in a sea of neutral colours, so paint them to match your other decor colours and you will enjoy a more peaceful decor.
- This was a well designed office. The timbers are all the same species which is the correct way to go in any decor or your eye will visit what stands out again. When you have different timbers in the same room, try to unite the colours in rugs, ornaments and art so those pieces of furniture don't look out of place.
- You can have large artworks that fill walls and our artworks are getting to be pretty huge! The trick is to remember is that black will advance as will very bright advancing colours like red and orange. Big art with big sections of these colours will seem to take up more space. Bright colours that are safe in large quantities because they recede, are green and yellow.
- It is important to line up artworks with the tops and or bottoms of perceived lines in your decor like door frames, window sills, cabinetry etc. In this case, the door and table top was the main concern. It makes for large art, but the results speak for themselves.
Our rates are below gallery and yet you are commissioning art that is created to your every whim. The value is exceptional and we pride ourselves on fantastic service.
