Rachael and Paul Munro run a business called The Brisbane Special Kids Party where kickbacks from advertising go to help children in need. We swapped payment for radio 4KQ advertising ourselves.
Their new corporate premises which houses the tele-marketing team needed art for the feature wall of their new reception area and Rachael had a gorgeous idea to do a Works With Little Pros private kids session with 15 kids. Of course this art is also corporate!
Sharron created several thumbnail designs for Rachael to choose from, giving an explanation of implied meanings to all. The chosen design and resulting artwork is about forces coming together (the sales team) and exploding out (the charity).
Using the office colours, the colour psychology in this artwork suggests: Red for energy, action, a love of decision making and getting things done; Blue for authority, directness and communication and Yellow Orange (Gold) for abundance, optimism, joy and wealth.
Sharron created the metallic gold background in studio, transported the canvas to their office and then art directed all the kids aged from 1-16 years old, in staged groups, to paint the design. The resulting work looks and feels great and has promoted a family feel and given the team an instant talking point with visitors.
Decor Tips
- Position a lounge, same width as the artwork or wider by 1/3rd underneath in Red, Navy or Black
- Move the water canister to another position
- Add 2 metallic silver floor lamps either side of the lounge art to help the metallic paint glow and to match the reception desk
- A welcoming shag pile rug could also be added to compliment the chosen lounge suit. Texture adds warmth.
