ART FOR INTERIOR DESIGNERS

Art tailored to the needs of Designers and Decorators.

We call this "Works For Designers".  It’s time consuming finding a catalogue poster or readymade art that perfectly accentuates your interior design.

  • Multiple commissions can be organised in Brisbane or by long distance.
  • We can match your colours from:
    • Paint sprays
    • Resene, Porters or Dulux etc paint codes
    • Pantone, RGB or CMYK colour formulas
    • Fabric swatches and other items to help us answer your brief.
  • We can communicate in person with web cam or via email, fax, phone and post
  • Approvals at several stages of each project ensure you are completely happy with your art which we guarantee will match and be loved.
  • Artworks are freighted to you with Lynx Couriers or Pack and Send.  Insurance is available.

We would be absolutely delighted to work with you, call us to discuss your needs.

Young Lounge -  In this case the interior designer provided their own thumbnail idea, which we painted for her. She visited the studio half way through the project, made slight changes all which helped her achieve her vision and perfectly matched her décor design.  We are happy to accommodate you in any way possible.

  • Having studied Interior Decoration (and more recently colour psychology) and with 20 years corporate graphic design and illustration experience, Director and Artist Sharron Tancred has a good idea of what designers want and how to meet their individual goals.

Wind In The Kitchen - It may be a vase, floral arrangement or sculpture that you’ll want an artwork to reflect, as seen with “Wind In The Kitchen.” which encourages harmony. A theme can reinforce texture, pattern and form.

  • If you have an item you would like an artwork based on, contact us or use the form provided in Commission Art That Works For Designers.
  • Simply send a photo through with, You Send It (or by email), choose a canvas size or specify one, select colour values, advise of room aspect, apply a budget, send a floor plan, and any other relevant information needed. It’s so simple to do!!

Josh's Red Geometric - Artwork can follow another artist’s style specifically or a trend, as seen in this Mondrian format, for a young man’s room. You may like Picasso, Klee, Warhol, Modigliani or art resembling Ken Done.

  • As a designer, you can request these styles and how you would like certain elements handled: adding texture or collage, restricting the colour palette, making it charcoal on canvas or applying iridescence, or we may suggest them to you.
  • Preliminary thumbnail sketches and photos will help you to ascertain choice and direction. There is email, phone, fax and post or webcam to communicate with and private consultations for Brisbane clients.

Ros Hines Designs - Having studied Interior Decoration, we know the importance of lining up objects, like canvases, with furniture and various elements of a room. This work clearly shows that paying attention to detail pays off.

  • Designers ask us to mimic textures, creating the desired feeling from a piece.
  • Adding or enhancing the feeling of a space will evoke your client’s emotions too. If you have a room that requires a peaceful ambience, but doesn’t have it, work with us to assist the imagination into thinking it is there!

Moroccan Mothers Room -  We all know that wonderful changes can be made to ugly rooms with just a lick of paint and simple art.  With small budgets and no space for furniture, panels of art can fill wall space; add style, atmosphere and even texture. It’s the way to go!

For this shopping centre client, designers Regina Rowlinson and Sharron Tancred created a Moroccan Mothers Room. It isn’t hard to create a faraway place that appeals to parents and children alike. We both made use of a bad situation by capitalising on accolades from the mothers!
